What We Believe
We believe the Scriptures were written by men who were inspired by God for that purpose. The Scriptures are infallible and without error. They are authoritative in revealing God’s character, His salvation for mankind, the principles by which God directs men to live, and any subject which they address.

We believe all men have sinned in failing to do all that God desires. A person cannot exist in this world without sin, because it is a spiritual characteristic of the entire race. No effort by man can produce righteousness before God. Through faith man, drawn by the Holy Spirit, may accept the grace of God provided through the redemptive death of Christ. Christ came as both God and man and as such was Mediator, Sacrifice and Redeemer to bring to God those who believe. Salvation manifests itself in Justification, Experiential Sanctification, and Glorification. Justification occurs at the time one receives Christ as personal Savior, and the Holy Spirit causes spiritual rebirth and indwells the believer. Experiential sanctification is the process in which the believer grows in grace toward conformity with Jesus Christ. Glorification is the final redemptive experience occurring when the believer comes into the presence of God in Heaven.
We believe marriage is a biblical institution established by God as described by Scripture. We believe the biblical ideal for marriage is the uniting of the one man and one woman in covenant commitment. Accordingly, this church’s pastors and staff will not officiate in same-sex marriages. nor will its property or resources be used for such purposes.
We believe that God created mankind in His image: male (man) and female (woman) at birth, sexually different but with equal personal dignity. We do not condemn anyone’s chosen sexual identity, however, we believe that all individuals should affirm their biological sex at birth and refrain from any and all attempts to physically change, alter, or disagree with the same.
These statements are not exhaustive; they are given in order to emphasize the foundations of our faith. The Holy Scriptures will be the final authority in all matters of doctrine.
